What is Decky?

Decky is a way to visualise and share Magic the Gathering decks. Not everyone wants to create an account on a site to share a creation

How does Decky work?

It encodes the individual cards into the hash portion of the URL. This can then be shared via any method you wish.

Does Decky have limitations

Yup. URLs can only be so long. If you add too many cards then problems may arise. For drafting and constructed play, this should be fine. It should even work for commander decks. A small cube may be troublesome.

Decky is also unable to produce a preview image when linked to. Because all of the cards are calculated when you view the link, nothing can be generated before hand.

There is also the posibility that so many requests are made at the same time that using it might be frustrating. Cross that bridge when we get there.
